this face was a huge pain in the ass, and though it’s still not done, I at least feel like I got the drawing good enough. I literally redrew this friggin’ thing five times. I went through one of my Art Freakouts™ that Caroline loves so much, were I get so frustrated I can’t tear my mind away from the painting.It was tough to get reference, because elven bone structure is really weird, and I was doing all kinds of crazy things with the lighting. I’m moving on from the face (though I know I’ll keep noodling it because it still bothers me), and later I’m going to refine it, bringing up the lighting and contrast.
